Taxonomy
Anomoeodus splendidus was named by Nessov (1985). Its type specimen is TsNIGR 6/12000 and is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is SSHD-8, Sheikhdzheili, which is in a Cenomanian fluvial horizon in the Khodzhakul Formation of Uzbekistan.
