Saurillus robustidens

Taxonomy
Saurillus robustidens was named by Hoffstetter (1967). Its type specimen is BMNH R8130, a mandible (right dentary), and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Mammal Bed, Durlston Bay (DB83), which is in a Berriasian marine horizon in the Lulworth Formation of the United Kingdom.

It was synonymized subjectively with Saurillus obtusus by Seiffert (1973); it was synonymized subjectively with Paramacellodus oweni by Estes (1983).
