Carsosaurus marchesetti

Taxonomy
Carsosaurus marchesetti was named by Kornhuber (1893). Its type specimen is MCSNT (Museo Civico di Storia Naturale Trieste), a set of postcrania (nearly complete skeleton lacking the skull), and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Komen (cave), which is in a Cenomanian marginal marine limestone in Slovenia.

It was corrected as Carsosaurus marchesettii by Caldwell and Palci (2007).
