Taxonomy
Pyandzhelasma pyriforme was named by Smirnova and Grunt (2002). Its type specimen is PIN 4104/587, a shell (Articulated shell), and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Gundara River, Gundara-Charymdara Saddle, Locality 1160, which is in a Kungurian marine horizon in the Gundara Formation of Tajikistan.
