Taxonomy
Asiaparamys shevyrevae was named by Nessov (1987). Its type specimen is CCMGE 15/12455, a tooth, and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Zhylga 1a, which is in a Paleocene marine sandstone in Kazakhstan. It is the type species of Asiaparamys.
