Taxonomy
Heterelasmina costata was named by Smirnova (2007). Its type specimen is PIN 4104/1079, a shell (Articulated shell), and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Left bank of Zidadara River, Darvaz Mountains, which is in a Kungurian marine horizon in the Gundara Formation of Tajikistan.
