Taxonomy
Yatsengia kenneyi was named by Wilson (1982). Its type specimen is UCMP 37212 and is a 3D body fossil.

It was recombined as Wilsonastraea kenneyi by Stevens and Rycerski (1989); it was recombined as Durhamina kenneyi by Fedorowski et al. (2007).
