Ophiceras (Lytophiceras) kilenense was named by Spath (1935). It is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Cape Stosch, Stensiƶ Plateau, locality 629, which is in a Griesbachian marine siliciclastic in the Wordie Creek Formation of Greenland.
