Taxonomy
Ophiceras (Lytophiceras) leptodiscus was named by Spath (1935). It is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Cape Stosch, east of River 6 (Knolden), Locality 180, which is in a Griesbachian marine horizon in the Wordie Creek Formation of Greenland.
