Taxonomy
Sandolasma perplexa was named by Stevens (2008). Its type specimen is USNM 531323 and is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is SJS-1278, Central Pequop Mountains, which is in a Kungurian carbonate limestone in the Pequop Formation of Nevada.
