Taxonomy
Agnostocrinus ornatus was named by Strimple (1971). Its type specimen is SUI 35297, a calyx, and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Hess Canyon block (SUI), which is in a Wordian carbonate limestone in the Word Formation of Texas.
