Dasyalosia goldfussi
Taxonomy
Spondylus goldfussii was named by Münster (1839). It is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Röpsen, near Gera (Laspe collection), which is in a Wuchiapingian carbonate limestone in the Zechstein Formation of Germany.
It was recombined as Strophalosia goldfussi by King (1850), Howse (1857), Davidson (1858) and Geinitz (1861); it was recombined as Dasyalosia goldfussi by Muir-Wood and Cooper (1960).
