Taxonomy
Spiriferella lita was named by Fredericks (1924) [Spiriferella saranae mut. lita ].

It was recombined as Alispiriferella lita by Pavlova et al. (1991), Tazawa and Hasegawa (2007), Tazawa (2008), Tazawa (2008), Tazawa (2009), Tazawa (2016) and Tazawa and Araki (2017).
