Taxonomy
Oldhamina kitakamiensis was named by Tazawa (1982). Its type specimen is IGPS 97715 and is a mold. Its type locality is Komasunaizawa River, Kanayashiki, Yahagi-cho, Rikuzentakata City, which is in a Changhsingian marine sandstone in the Toyoma Formation of Japan.
