Taxonomy
Attenuatella bandoi was named by Tazawa (1987). Its type specimen is NU-B 1 and is a mold. Its type locality is Suenosaki Formation - Ishihama coast, Miyagi Prefecture, which is in a Wuchiapingian offshore shale in the Suenosaki Formation of Japan.
