Bauxitornis mindszentyae
Taxonomy
Bauxitornis mindszentyae was named by Dyke and Osi (2010). Its type specimen is MTM V 2009.38.1, a limb element (almost complete right tarsometatarsus), and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Iharkút mine, Bakony mountains (Unit 1), which is in a Santonian crevasse splay claystone/sandstone in the Csehbánya Formation of Hungary.
