Morganucodon heikuopengensis
Taxonomy
Eozostrodon heikuopengensis was named by Young (1978). Its type specimen is IVPP V 4728, a partial skull, and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Hei Koa Peng, Lufeng (CUP, IVPP), which is in a Sinemurian terrestrial horizon in the Lufeng Formation of China.
It was recombined as Morganucodon heikuopengensis by Luo and Wu (1994), Luo et al. (1995) and Kielan-Jaworowska et al. (2004).
