Amphilestes broderipii
Taxonomy
Amphitherium broderipii was named by Owen (1846). Its type specimen is Yorkshire Museum, a mandible (left mandible), and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Stonesfield Slate quarries, which is in a Bathonian marginal marine sandstone in the Taynton Limestone Formation of the United Kingdom.
It was recombined as Amphilestes broderipii by Owen (1859), Owen (1871), Simpson (1928), Jenkins and Crompton (1979), Kielan-Jaworowska et al. (2004) and Butler and Sigogneau-Russel (2016).
