It was assigned to Triarthrinae by Poulsen (1959); to Oleninae by Robison and Pantoja-Alor (1968); to Balnibarbiinae by Fortey and Droser (1999); to Ptychopariida by Sepkoski (2002); and to Olenidae by Jell and Adrain (2003).
