Kawichthys moodiei

Taxonomy
Kawichthys moodiei was named by Pradel et al. (2011). Its type specimen is KUVP 152144, a skull (neurocranium associated with some disturbed and broken postcranial elements), and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Between Lawrence and Baldwin, which is in a Gzhelian marine shale in the Stranger Formation of Kansas. It is the type species of Kawichthys.
