Ascalochrysa megaptera

Taxonomy
Ascalochrysa megaptera was named by Ren and Makarkin (2009). Its type specimen is CNU LB2006001, a hindwing (beautifully preserved, almost complete hind wing), and it is an impression. Its type locality is Near Chaomidian Village, CNU 2006 collection, which is in a Barremian lacustrine - large shale in the Yixian Formation of China. It is the type species of Ascalochrysa.
