Cordulegaster buchi

Taxonomy
Anax buchii was named by Hagen (1848). Its type specimen is MfN MB.J 841, an exoskeleton (complete specimen poor venation), and it is an impression. Its type locality is Solnhofen (Humboldt Museum, Berlin coll), which is in a Tithonian lagoonal/restricted shallow subtidal lime mudstone in the Solnhofen Formation of Germany.

It was corrected as Anax buchi by Hagen (1862) and Hagen (1866); it was recombined as Cordulegaster buchi by Kirby (1890); it was recombined as Stenophlebia buchi by Handlirsch (1906); it was recombined as Aeschnogomphus buchi by Nel et al. (1998).
