Taxonomy
Trigonotreta occidentalis was named by Thomas (1971). Its type specimen is CPC 1682 and is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is BMR ML107, Round Hill Well, Winning Station, which is in a Sakmarian marine siliciclastic in Australia.
