Taxonomy
Naticopsis (Dicosmos) sichuanensis was named by Tong and Erwin (2001). Its type specimen is USNM 485562 and is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Saierlangshan Section, Bed 62-1, which is in an Anisian carbonate limestone in the Guojiashan Formation of China.
