Taxonomy
Platycrinites testudo was named by Campbell and Bein (1971). Its type specimen is 18892 A.N.U., a calyx, and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is North of R. Croker House, which is in a Hastarian/Chadian marine mudstone in the Goonoo Goonoo Mudstone Formation of Australia.
