Taxonomy
Ichthyocrinus mccoyanus was named by Salter (1873). Its type specimen is SM A 35407, a calyx, and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Light Beck, which is in a Leintwardine marine horizon in the Bannisdale Slates Formation of the United Kingdom.
It was recombined as Eutaxocrinus maccoyanus by Ramsbottom (1958).
