Taxonomy
Mastigocrinus bravoniensis was named by Ramsbottom (1958). Its type specimen is GSM 89994, a calyx, and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Leintwardine starfish bed, which is in a Leintwardine lagoonal siltstone in the Lower Leintwardine Formation of the United Kingdom.
