Gobiotheriodon infinitus
Taxonomy
Gobiodon infinitus was named by Trofimov (1980). Its type specimen is PIN 3101/80, a mandible (partial right mandible), and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Khovboor (PIN coll. 3101) [SMPE], which is in an Aptian/Albian lacustrine sandstone/claystone in the Dzunbain Formation of Mongolia. It is the type species of Gobiotheriodon.
It was recombined as Gobiotheriodon infinitus by Trofimov (1997), Averianov (2002) and Kielan-Jaworowska et al. (2004).
