Diagnosis
ReferenceDiagnosis
J. S. Peel 2021Pseudobivalved (univalve) or bivalved laterally compressed Dshaped shells with a long straight dorsal hinge zone and convex ventral margin. Hinge zone in pseudobivalved forms is flexible with a prominent, raised, undivided early growth stage along the median plane of symmetry and a variable numbers of hinge teeth.
