Taxonomy
Araeopora tuberosa was named by Waagen and Wentzel (1886). It is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Rotta Roh, Middle Productus-limestone, Salt Range, which is in a Capitanian/Wuchiapingian carbonate limestone in the Wargal Formation of Pakistan.
