Taxonomy
Monotrypa mastoidea was named by Waagen and Wentzel (1886). It is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Amb, Basal Fossiliferous Beds, Salt Range, which is in a Wordian coastal sandstone in the Amb Formation of Pakistan.
