Taxonomy
Dilophus campbelli was named by Harris (1983). Its type specimen is OU 11975, a nymph (4th instar larval exuviae), and it is a compression fossil. Its type locality is Livingstone (I41/f051), which is in a Waipawan/Bortonian pond siltstone in the Papakaio Coal Measures Formation of New Zealand.
