Telmatrechus stali

Taxonomy
Hygrotrechus stali was named by Scudder (1879). Its type specimen is GSC 70, an exoskeleton (body), and it is a compression fossil. Its type locality is 3 miles up North Fork of Similkameen River, which is in a Ypresian lacustrine shale/siltstone in the Allenby Formation of Canada. It is the type species of Telmatrechus.

It was recombined as Gerris stali by Handlirsch (1910); it was recombined as Telmatrechus stali by Scudder (1890), Scudder (1895), Nel and Paicheler (1993), Andersen (1998) and Damgaard (2008).
