Boreosomus arcticus

Taxonomy
Acrolepis arctica was named by Woodward (1912). It is a compression fossil. Its type locality is Sassen Bay, between De Geer Valley and Flower Valley (fish horizon), which is in a Smithian marine siliciclastic in Svalbard and Jan Mayen.

It was recombined as Boreosomus arcticus by Stensiö (1921), Nielsen (1942) and Mutter (2011).
