Avitomyrmex elongatus
Taxonomy
Avitomyrmex elongatus was named by Archibald et al. (2006). Its type specimen is 2003.2.8CDM032, an exoskeleton (queen body without head but with wing), and it is a compression fossil. Its type locality is McAbee (CDM collection), which is in a Ypresian lacustrine - large mudstone in Canada.
