Avitomyrmex mastax

Taxonomy
Avitomyrmex mastax was named by Archibald et al. (2006). Its type specimen is UCCIPRL-18 F-850, an exoskeleton (body fragments and a wing), and it is a compression fossil. Its type locality is McAbee (University College of the Cariboo TRU coll), which is in a Ypresian lacustrine - large mudstone in Canada.
