Murchisonia (Murchisonia) conveximarginata was named by Wang (1980). It is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Lanba Section Tc-12, Shuicheng County, which is in a Wuchiapingian coastal limestone/siltstone in the Longtan Formation of China.
