Archimyrmex smekali
Taxonomy
Polanskiella smekali was named by Rossi de Garcia (1983). Its type specimen is NMW 1972/1574/9, an exoskeleton, and it is a compression fossil. Its type locality is Confluencia locality, which is in a Lutetian lacustrine mudstone in the Ventana Formation of Argentina.
It was recombined as Archimyrmex smekali by Dlussky and Perfilieva (2003), Archibald et al. (2006) and Bolton (2012).
