Ancylochira agilis
Taxonomy
Ancylochira agilis was named by Meunier (1921). Its type specimen is 4072, an exoskeleton, and it is a compression fossil. Its type locality is Grube Messel Pit (Museum Darmstadt Collection), which is in a MP 11 crater lake claystone in the Messel Formation of Germany. It is the type species of Eodromus.
It was recombined as Eodromus agilis by Haupt (1950), Haupt (1956), Kirejtshuk et al. (2008), Nabozhenko (2019) and Bouchard et al. (2021).
