Taxonomy
Ulmeriella cockerelli was named by Martynov (1929). Its type specimen is PIN 2113/18, a forewing, and it is an impression. Its type locality is Mount Ashutas, river Irtysh (PIN collection 2113), which is in a Chattian terrestrial claystone in Kazakhstan.
It was considered a nomen dubium by Nel and Paicheler (1993).
