Pyramiblastus fusiformis
Taxonomy
Orophocrinus fusiformis was named by Wachsmuth and Springer (1888). Its type specimen is USNM S 3227 and is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Le Grand Main South Quarry, which is in a Kinderhookian carbonate carbonate in the Hampton Formation of Iowa.
It was recombined as Codonites fusiformis by Miller (1889); it was recombined as Pyramiblastus fusiformis by Macurda (1964).
