Taxonomy
Gondaconularia triassica was named by Waterhouse (1986). Its type specimen is NZGS CCO 2 and is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is JDC 884N, The Castle, Pitfure Creek Road (N28/f7573), which is in an Oretian marine sandstone in the Garden Formation of New Zealand.
