Taxonomy
Ophiotitanos pilleri was named by Thuy and Kroh (2011). Its type specimen is Holotype NHMW 2010/0356/0017, paratypes NHMW 2010/0356/0018, 2010/0356/0019, GZG.INV.30572, an other, and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Locality 2, Serre de Bleyton, which is in a Barremian slope marl in France.
