Buprestis octomaculata

Taxonomy
Ancylochira octomaculata was named by Piton (1940). Its type specimen is Coll. Piton 85, an exoskeleton, and it is a compression fossil. Its type locality is Menat (Piton collection), which is in a Thanetian crater lake diatomite in the Menat Formation of France.

It was recombined as Buprestis octomaculata by Balazuc and Descarpentries (1964).
