Menatorhis elegans

Taxonomy
Balaninus elegans was named by Piton (1940). Its type specimen is MNHN R07010, an exoskeleton, and it is a compression fossil. Its type locality is Menat (Piton collection), which is in a Selandian crater lake diatomite in the Menat Formation of France. It is the type species of Menatorhis.

It was recombined as Curculio elegans by Legalov (2015); it was recombined as Menatorhis elegans by Legalov et al. (2017).
