It was reranked as Galeruca (Altica) by Latreille (1802); it was misspelled as Haltica by Piton (1940) and Bouchard et al. (2011).

It was assigned to Eleuterata by Fabricius (1775); to Coleoptera by Geoffroy (1762), Schaeffer (1766), Müller (1776) and Latreille (1796); to Galeruca by Latreille (1802); to Chrysomelidae by Piton (1940); and to Alticini by Bouchard et al. (2011).
