Sassenia guttata

Taxonomy
Coelacanthus guttatus was named by Woodward (1912). It is a compression fossil. Its type locality is Sassen Bay, between De Geer Valley and Flower Valley (fish horizon), which is in a Smithian marine siliciclastic in Svalbard and Jan Mayen.

It was recombined as Sassenia guttata by Stensiƶ (1921) and Schultze (2004).
