Maitaia trechmanni

Taxonomy
Maitaia trechmanni was named by Marwick (1934). Its type specimen is NZGS TM2033 and is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is GS143, Dun Mountain Tramway, Wooded Peak, Nelson, which is in a Wuchiapingian carbonate limestone in the Tramway Formation of New Zealand.

It was recombined as Atomodesma trechmanni by Waterhouse (1958), Waterhouse (1963), Waterhouse (1969) and Waterhouse (1976).
