Taxonomy
Neospirifer warchensis was named by Reed (1931).

It was recombined as Spirifer (Neospirifer) warchensis by Reed (1944); it was synonymized subjectively with Neospirifer moosakhailensis by Waterhouse (1966); it was recombined as Blasispirifer warchensis by Waterhouse (2004).
