Taxonomy
Eirlysia modesta was named by Waterhouse (1986). It is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is GS3616, Productus Creek, Letham Burn (D44/f9478), which is in a Wordian marine horizon in the Mangarewa Formation of New Zealand.
